Covance Clinical Research Unit has been based in Leeds since 1986, and has a prime location close to the University of Leeds and the renowned Leeds General Infirmary. The Unit carries out clinical studies on behalf of the world's leading pharmaceutical and biotechnological companies, and we are recognised by them as having a reputation for conducting high quality clinical studies.

Each study is approved by the Independent Ethics Committee, which verifies that your safety and integrity as a volunteer is respected at all times.All our studies are carried out under the safety guidelines issued by the Royal College of Physicians. We meet the standards set by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the UK Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency (MHRA), and other regulatory bodies.

The Covance Clinical Research Unit in Leeds has conducted clinical research studies for more than 20 years. The unit holds 72 beds in ten dormitory-style rooms. While enrolled in a study, Participants will be monitored by our Volunteer Recreation Team who will organize entertainment. Participants will have access to Satellite television, an extensive video library, the latest DVD and paperback releases, free daily newspaper magazines, board games, a pool table, free play arcade games, Playstation and an Internet suite with ten computer stations.
